MOUNTAIN BIKERS RESPONSIBILITY CODE
ENTERING THE BIKE ROADS AND MOVING OFF AFTER STOPPING Rider are obliged to get acquainted with the trails and their obstacles visually, or they can also walk around the obstacles to see if they ares able to ride the trail. Riders should be aware of the fact that stopping and moving off on a trail might be dangerous. They should pull off the trail when stopping to not obstruct others. If a rider has fallon off his bike he should leave the place as soon as possible and yield to other trail users.
SAFETY EQUIPMENT It is strongly recommended that all users ride safety certified bikes, checked for loose parts. Riders must wear approved protective equipment such as helmets, wrist guards, elbow pads, knee pads, back and rib cage protectors at all times within the Bike Park.
COMPULSORY EQUIPMENT Bike riders must wear a helmet when riding in the bike park. If foud out that a biker entered the cable car with a bike or a scooter but no helmet they can be forbidden from using the cable car. Riders caught without a helmet on will be expelled from the park immediatelly.
RIDE SPEED AND WAY OF RIDING Riders have to maintain safe spacing which gives them more visibility and more time to react to situations. Bike riders must ride within their ability and in control and in such a manner that you can stop or avoid other users. They have to adjust speed to road conditions and individual obstacles.
RESPECT WITH OTHER TRAIL USERS Riders have to be careful and courteous of others. They must not endanger others health or lives. They must be cautious not to cause damage to themselves or others. Riders must not endanger their fellow riders in front of them and keep a comfortable distance from the riders in front in order to leave them enough space for their way of ride. The minimum distance between riders on a trail is 50 m.
OVERTAKING Overtaking on trails is strictly prohibited. Riders must obey the route direction.
OBEYING TRAIL SIGNS Riders must obey all trail markings and crossings.
PROVIDING FIRST AID If riders witness or come upon an injured rider they are obliged to give first aid or get help immediately. They have to report the accident to a responsible person of the resort (service staff), in the information centre or SPORT shop Jasná in the resort Záhradky near the bottom station of the 6-chair-cable car, Fis Buble Jet Záhradky.
NOTICE By entering this facility riders are assuming the risks and responsibilities inherent in biking sport. They ride at their own risk. Riders under 18 years are not allowed to ride in the park unless they have a an approval written by their parents or legal guardian. Children under 15 years can enter the bike park when accompanied by their parents. Signiture is required by parent or legal guardian for all participants under the age of 18 who want to rent a downhill bike.
Violations of park rules may result in temporary or permanent banning from using the park or participating in any future activities or events. Riders have to keep to marked cycle paths. Riding off marked trails is a tresspass violation and violation of National Park NAPANT law and subject to a jurisdiction of Slovak Republic. Trails are marked with tapes, ribbons, with stones or gravel or bike tracks.
IN THE BIKE PARK AREA AND ON TRAILS
Bike riding is the only activity allowed
Damaging and moving markings, obstacles and information boards is strictly prohibited.
Riding bicycle under influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited.
Children must not enter the Bike park unless accompanied by parents or legal guardians.
Smoking or any open flame devices are prohibited.
No glass containers are allowed in the facility.
Pushing the bike in the reverse direction is prohibited.
WHEN BUYING A CABLE CAR TICKET the visitors of the Bike Park make a pledge that they will obey the Rules and Regulations of the Park and are aware of the fact that they ride at their own risk. The ticket is non-transferable and is valid only for one person - does not allow co-passengers. The management shall not be held liable for any accidents and/ or personal injuries and/ or damage to their personal belongings during the use of the park. Buying a ticket for the bike park means that the visitors have read and understood the rules and regulations of the Bike park and will adhere to them.
